About Prairie Ridge Aquatic Center
Prairie Ridge Aquatic Center, also known as the Prairie Ridge Family Aquatic Center, is run by the City of Ankeny Parks and Recreation. It has two slides for riders 48 inches and up (kids under 48 inches may ride the open flume with a parent), kiddie slides, zero-depth entry, a splash park with floor geysers, and a lily pad walk for kids 54 inches and up. The water is heated, and there's a concession stand. Kids under 9 need an adult with them, and coolers aren't allowed.
